THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

HOW DOES RECRUITMENT AT BALL STATE WORK?

There are four Recruitment rounds in which Potential New Members will visit various chapters to learn more about each one and what makes them unique (each round is described on the Important Dates tab). Each subsequent round will provide more opportunity for Potential New Members to learn about chapters on a deeper level and vice versa. Throughout each Recruitment round, we encourage PNMs to ask critical questions about the values and operations of each chapter to learn about each

group's core attributes and qualities.

After each Recruitment round, PNMs will prioritize which chapters they would like to visit in the next round and chapters will prioritize which individuals they would like to see in the next round. This is called the Mutual Selection Process, in which Potential New Members and chapters mutually choose each other throughout the Recruitment process so that members end up where they are most comfortable. Potential New Members' chapter prioritization are inputted into computer software and complex algorithms are used to best match new members with chapters and maximize opportunity.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR RECRUITMENT?

You’re all set and ready to experience Ball State Panhellenic Recruitment!

We can’t wait to meet you.

DO I HAVE TO WEAR ANYTHING SPECIFIC DURING THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS?

The Panhellenic Association encourages all individuals going through recruitment to dress in a way that is most comfortable to them and allows them to express their individuality and unique personality. There is no mold to fit into during recruitment, and you are not expected to dress any certain way. The following guidelines exist only to give individuals going through recruitment an idea of what chapters will be wearing during the one in-person round, Preference Day, so that you are most prepared and comfortable. Your outfits are in no way limited to these suggestions, and we look forward to seeing your unique style during recruitment!
